Hello Mumma, I’ve been in Stirling

Well Mumma, since I am going to be on the move a little less… only a little, I thought I would start to blog about my new digs and how I intend to make friends in my new town.  Am going to attend a few cooking classes, go back to language classes, and maybe a couple of ball room dancing classes, and maybe hijacking other friends friends 🙂

So this afternoon I attended my first cooking class which was call Mastering Asian, with a focus on Korean.  The menu was :

Entre – Prawn & Taro Dumplings with Sweet Chilli Sauce

Main – Beef Massman Curry, Chilli Morton Bay Bug Stir Fry, Steam Chicken with Oyster Sauce, and rice.

The class was held up in the Adelaide Hills in a place call Stirling, really lovely area that has lots of funky little shops.

The cooking class took place at Sticky Rice, and normally has 18 people in the class but we only had 12 people so plenty to go around.

Most of the attendees were couples, a few strange ones, but there was a girl called Erin that was really nice (I wonder if all Erin’s are meant to be nice?).  She is from the Clare Valley and works on luxury yacht’s around Europe and the Bahamas as either a Stewardess or a Galley Manager.  She came to the class to learn new recipes before heading off on the next trip, bugger no new friend there.

So even though I didn’t get any new friends out of the class I did learn how to make some super yummy food, my favourite was the Prawn & Taro dumplings, they were sooooo yummy that I didn’t take any photo’s of them.

Can’t wait to cook something for you soon

Love you

MWAH
